About the Store

Finan McDonald Clothing Company is the brain-child of owner Ben Tate. Our first store opened in 1988 in Sandpoint, Idaho. We started out as a men’s clothing store, only to learn that women were buying the men’s clothing, and wanted some for themselves as well. We chose natural fiber clothing in the beginning, suitable for North Idaho lifestyles. Ten years ago we added another location in nearby Coeur d’Alene, ID. We carry high-quality and diverse clothing & shoe lines such as Tommy Bahama, Sigrid Olsen, Dansko, Patagonia, The North Face and Columbia to name a few. Ben and his wife Rhonda, as well as store managers Sandy Hughes-Rose, and Deb McWilliams, do the majority of buying for the stores.
